Shift Gears

I embarrassed myself when I went for a walk this evening.

Lo and behold a new sign had appeared out in front our house. Of all the insults! It read, For Sale - Handyman's Special. Indignant I yanked the thing out of the ground, and carrying it, I strode up to the house to call our Realtor. What next, I thought! The nerve of someone insulting MY house!

Then Maggie sweetly reminded me. "It's not your house, Mom. Plus, the bathrooms are old."

Oh, yes, we closed the deal yesterday. We are renting someone else's house till we move in June.

And thank God for that too. The closing went so easily that I forgot the house is not ours. Shift gears, Mother. You just sold your house.
